At the start of Tibet Lobby Day 2024, delegates were joined Susan Templeman MP, Senator Dean Smith and Senator Barbara Pocock for a media event about the day. Senator Dean Smith, Susan Templeman MP and Senator Barbara Pocock are all co-chairs of the Australian All-Party Parliamentary Tibet Group (AAPGT). The AAPGT have agreed to accept a list of the names of Chinese Communist Party officials who we believe should be given Magnitsky-style sanctions for their gross human rights abuses in Tibet.
