Dharamshala, 24th January 2025: As part of the Tibetan Parliament’s Europe Tibet Advocacy initiative, a parliamentary delegation consisting of MPs Geshe Monlam Tharchin, Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar, and Konchok Yangphel began their advocacy efforts in Scandinavia, starting in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 22nd January 2025.

Upon their arrival in Copenhagen on 22nd January, the parliamentary delegation was warmly received by Office of Tibet London’s representative Tsering Yangkyi and secretary Tenzin Kunga, along with Anders H. Andersen, the president of Tibet Support Committee Denmark.

On 23rd January 2025, they held a meeting with European Youth International’s Elliott E Hamza, Patrick Wildenradt and Rebekka Sonne (Vice President). The meeting introduced the critical situation in Tibet, focusing on how the Chinese Communist regime conducts severe oppression within Tibet, highlighting the current conditions of human rights violations. Recognizing that current youth may potentially become future leaders, the meeting called upon young people from relevant countries to support the Tibetan cause. Encouraging the young participants to visit the Central Tibetan Administration’s headquarters in Dharamsala to gain deeper understanding of the situations inside and outside Tibet, engaging in discussions and effectively spreading awareness about the Tibetan issue.

Thereafter, a meeting was held with Sascha Faxe, a member of the Danish Foreign Affairs Committee and a member of parliament. During the meeting, they presented an appeal letter from the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile-signed by the Speaker, and emphasized key points. They also extended an invitation for participation in the World Parliamentarians Convention on Tibet.
