Dr Akhilesh Prasad Singh (born 5 January 1962) is an Indian politician from Bihar. He was elected to Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of the Indian Parliament from Bihar as a member of the Indian National Congress in 2018 and previously, he was a member of Parliament of the 14th Lok Sabha (2004) from Motihari, Bihar as a member of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal. He was a Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the UPA Government. He had also been a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and a Minister in the Bihar Government. He is a member of the All Party Indian Parliamentary Forum for Tibet.
